Why the Funny Guy Gets the Girl

I recently finished watching “Modern Family,” and it was awesome. I had my favorite characters, but out of all of them, my top one would be Phil Dunphy. The man won me over with his wit, upbringing, dedication, and most of all, his humor.

I then realized that this is not the first time a funny man got my attention. Jake Peralta from “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” was one of my favorites. Paul Rudd is one of my favorite actors. Even in my personal life, I always date the funny guy.

But this is not only the case for me. I’ve seen a lot of women with the same perspective. I can’t generalize it, but I do think that if a woman had to choose between a funny man or a handsome man, most women would choose humor.
