In July, I had a little wake-up call, I realized I had gained some weight and no longer fit into my usual size small clothes. It was frustrating, and honestly, a bit of a confidence shaker. That’s when I decided it was time to make some changes.
I started exercising more and, for the first time in my life, I cut rice completely out of my diet. Growing up, rice was always a staple for me, so this decision wasn’t easy. But I was determined to see what would happen if I stayed consistent for at least a month.
Fast forward a few weeks, and I could really feel the difference. My tummy became noticeably flatter, I felt lighter and more energetic, and the best part? I finally got to buy the onesie pantsuit I’d been eyeing for weeks, in a size small! And to my surprise, it still looked a little loose on me.
Beyond the physical changes, I also felt better mentally. Seeing progress from the effort I put in made me more confident and motivated to keep going. Cutting rice may not be for everyone, but for me, it was the reset I needed to feel good about myself again.
This journey reminded me that sometimes, small sacrifices lead to bigger rewards. And for me, saying goodbye to rice, at least for now, was definitely worth it.
