It’s been three years since I last hit “publish” on Wattpad. Back then, I wasn’t sure if writing was really for me. I loved it, but I kept questioning whether it was worth the time and energy, especially while juggling two jobs and the demands of everyday life. Writing slowly slipped into the background, and I told myself maybe it just wasn’t part of my path.
But recently, something changed. I found myself inspired again, and it all came from an unexpected source: One Piece. Watching the story unfold, especially the journey of Roronoa Zoro, reminded me why I fell in love with storytelling in the first place. His drive, his loyalty, his determination, it lit a spark in me that I thought I’d lost.
So, I took the plunge. I posted one of my Zoro fanfics. I can’t lie, I was nervous. After three years away, I wondered if anyone would care to read what I had to say. But to my surprise, and honestly, my relief, people are reading it. They’re clicking, scrolling, and engaging with my words. It feels surreal.
Publishing again reminded me that writing doesn’t have to be perfect or “professional” to matter. Sometimes, it’s just about sharing something you love and connecting with people who love it too. Right now, that’s enough for me.
I don’t know exactly where this writing journey will lead, but I do know this: I’m glad I came back. And I’m excited to see where both Zoro’s story and my own will go from here.
