Getting engaged felt like stepping into a new, exciting chapter and naturally, one of the first things on our minds was finding a place to call our own.
Simple enough, right? Not quite.
We had a clear vision: a home that’s within our budget, in a good location, and still close to both our families and friends. Somewhere comfortable, practical, and ideally, a place we could grow into together.
But as we started searching, we quickly realized, it’s not as easy as it sounds.
Prices were higher than expected. Others checked most of our boxes but were just slightly out of reach financially. And then there were locations that were affordable… but too far from everyone we wanted to stay close to.
It felt like we were constantly choosing between what we want and what we can realistically have.
As tough as it’s been, one thing is certain: we’re not giving up.
We know the right place is out there, it might not be perfect, but it will be right for us. And when we find it, all the searching, waiting, and second-guessing will make sense.
For now, we keep looking, keep hoping, and keep reminding ourselves that this is all part of the journey.
